Fall Fun in Southern Delaware!

While many of Southern Delaware’s favorite fall events have been postponed until next year, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy fall to the fullest! Here are some suggestions for fun activities you can do this fall in Southern Delaware, choose a few or do them all! Admire the Fall Foliage

  • Trap Pond State Park is surrounded by vivid fall colors. Kayak the pond and its streams through the Bald Cypresses or walk and bike the trails on land.

  •  The Nanticoke Heritage Byway takes you through the beautiful rural landscapes of western Sussex County, including farm land, riverfronts, quaint towns, and more. 

  • Take the drive down Coastal Highway and enjoy the cool fall air as it breezes off the ocean. Stop in at any of our coastal towns for dining, shopping, and strolling. If you stop by Rehoboth Beach, check out their Scarecrow Contest and vote for your favorite!

Fall for Foodies

  • T.S. Smith & Sons in Bridgeville has all your fall favorites with apple picking, jams, honey and more.

  • Parson’s Farm offers a variety of seasonal u-picks including strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apples and pumpkins. 

  • Historic Lewes Fall Farmer’s Market runs from October 3–November 21 and features a wide variety of locally grown fall favorites, which you can browse in their open air market. 

Fall in Love with the Arts

  • Ocean View Fall concert series The Town of Ocean View will be hosting a socially distanced concert series this fall, along with socially distanced tours by the Ocean View Historical Society.

  • DAC Creative Market The Developing Artist Collaborative’s Creative Market is all about giving a unique space to handmade businesses, visual artists, performing artists, comics, culinary arts, spoken word, and so much more. Every Monday in September and October.

  • True Blue Jazz Fest This year’s True Blue Jazz Fest will be both online (October 16-17) and in person in Rehoboth (October 18-19), while following all social distancing guidelines.
