Ocean View is a lovely small town along the Route 26 corridor between Bethany Beach and Dagsboro, and home to restaurants, art studios, farm stands, and an active Historical Society with a fascinating complex of historical buildings. In 1923, Mrs. Cecile Long Steele raised her first flock of broiler-fryer chickens for commercial consumption here establishing Ocean View as the birthplace of the commercial broiler industry, now worth over $7 billion annually. This is Delaware’s number one agricultural enterprise.
