Delaware Seashore State Park
With six miles of Atlantic Ocean coastline between Dewey Beach and the Indian River Inlet, this popular park includes ocean and bay beaches with bathhouses for public swimming, surf fishing, surfing, skimboarding, kiteboarding and sailboating. At the inlet, Delaware Seashore features a large campground plus the 295-slip Indian River Marina with charter and head boats for ocean fishing trips. All summer long, soon after sunrise, playful dolphins patrol the shallow waters just beyond the surf line. Stroll along the quiet beach as these beautifully sleek creatures leap and dive just a few hundred feet away. Open daily 8 a.m. to sunset. Entrance fee May through October and annual vehicle permits available. Located on Route 1 between Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach.
