The Milford Museum American History Series continues with a program to commemorate Women’s History Month titled The Disappearance of Amelia Earhart. Presented by author and historian Ric Gillespie, the program will take place on Saturday, March 9, 1:00 p.m. at the Milford Public Library. In the 87 years since her mysterious disappearance, Amelia Earhart has become an American icon, but what's the truth behind the legend? Gillespie will present a preview of his new book One More Good Flight" - The Amelia Earhart Tragedy, soon to be published by the Naval Institute Press. In his talk, Gillespie will correct many common myths and misconceptions about the famous flyer and lay out the evidence of her true fate discovered in thirty-four years of scientific investigation by The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (known by its acronym TIGHAR).
