Artist Kate Meyer's solo exhibition debuts in the Tubbs Gallery. Meyer approaches her work by inventing from nature. She likes to be spontaneous by abstracting the forms and tries to create a sense of mood and atmosphere. Kate likes to push the boundaries of realism to abstraction. She combines a variety of textures and shapes blended with quick brush strokes to achieve a sense of lost and found. Meyers now lives full time on the Eastern Shore of Virginia where she feels the need to express the beauty she sees each day.
