SPRING SILLINESS: STAND UP COMEDY SPECIAL

Apr 19, 2024

With a fresh take on springtime humor, this show promises to be a breath of fresh comedic air!

Headliner: Erik Terrell

Erik Terrell is a big kid with a big heart. His love for the stage began in his freshman year at Hampton University in 2009. After graduating college in 2013, he returned home to Philadelphia where he was picked up by Helium Comedy Club, but he quickly began headlining venues along the East Coast including Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and Stand Up NY. Erik had a top prize-winning performance at the Conshy Comedy Fest in 2017. In 2018, Erik headlined and produced his own show at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and performed at both the Asheville Comedy Festival and Gilda’s LaughFest in Grand Rapids, MI. He filmed for Comedy Time TV in LA. Carolines on Broadway featured Erik on “Carolines Presents”, showcasing him as one of New York’s best breakout comics.

Headliner: “Buda” Stephen Buda

Buda The Comedian isn’t just a name, it’s a state of mind – and a rather large state at that, tipping the scales at a whopping 350 pounds and towering at 6 feet five inches. When he says he’s big in the comedy world, he means it both figuratively and literally! With a repertoire of over 100 voices and impressions, Buda’s like the Swiss Army knife of comedy. Whether he’s mimicking celebs or weaving tales from his own (grand) life experiences, he leaves audiences clutching their sides in laughter. He’s shared the limelight with big names like Tracy Morgan and George Carlin (no, not in a height contest). Thanks to these collabs, Buda’s been the headliner at top-notch venues, from the Gotham Comedy Club to the majestic Taj Mahal.

Host: Keith Purnell

Keith is one of the fastest rising comics from Delaware. He’s a high energy performer whose quick wit, style, and fast pace humor make him a hit and personal favorite of audiences young and old. He performs at Comedy Clubs across the country and has appeared on Television and in Movies. He was a winner in the Howard Stern “Kill or Be Killed” Comedy Competition and was the Philadelphia Regional winner in the Sierra Mist Next Great Comic Comedy Competition. Keith has had appearances on Last Comic Standing and is gaining a reputation as the next rising star.
