Plein Air

Plein Air All levels of artists and mediums welcome! We will briefly discuss outdoor vistas and subject matter and then learn to make the best placement of the scene on canvas for compositional purposes. We will paint ‘what we see’, as we learn to use both brush and palette knife for applying paint. Color will enter into the conversation, but the class will not focus on color. This is an outdoor painting class that focuses on composing an outdoor scene, placing the scene on the canvas for maximum impact, and applying paint/medium to achieve one’s intent.
