Geo McElroy’s work has been included in juried shows and exhibits in Annapolis, Rehoboth, Adkins Arboretum, Berlin, and Ocean City. She was awarded a scholarship to the Corcoran Museum School, Washington, D. C. in 1969 where she studied drawing, printmaking, and painting. In addition, Geo worked as an intern for an exhibit installation at the Hirshhorn, Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D. C. Her work included preparation of the “The Open Door," a bicentennial celebration of 20th century American immigrant artists. “While completing my master’s degree at Salisbury University, I was given an independent study in landscape painting, under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Hill and Jinchul Kim. The independent study was the impetus for my foray into painting as a painter in earnest." Venue: Rehoboth Art League.
