Lewes Historical Society: Suffrage Starts with You

Join the Lewes Historical Society for this brand new Tavern Talk, Suffrage Starts With You! (Monthly Meeting of the Congressional Union for Women’s Suffrage)

Celebrate the centennial of the 19th amendment ratification by joining the original spirited suffragettes of Sussex in the monthly meeting of the Congressional Union for Women’s Suffrage, hosted by Miss Katherine Ingram. Equality is on the agenda, with lively discussion, liberty, and libations. Temperance temporarily waived with light refreshments courtesy of Dogfish Head.

Join us for an interactive historical experience supporting the Women’s Suffrage Movement in Lewes. But be forewarned, dissenters may lurk among us.
