Kangaroo Yoga

Will there be real live kangaroos?

YES!! We have FIVE kangaroo ambassador animals, Arnie, Chandler, Mac, Ruphus, and Tyson. Each are males between the age of one and two years old. During yoga you will be able to feed and pet the roos if they approach you but DO NOT try to chase them or pick them up. Please be respectful of the roos and they will respect you in return.

Do I need to be an experienced yogi?

NO! Our classes are well suited for beginners of all ages, and if you want to just sit on a yoga mat near kangaroos, that is fine too!

Is this event rain-or-shine?

Most of the time, YES! If it is a light drizzle or a short period of rain, we continue yoga as planned. The only extra thing that we would recommend that you bring is a towel. If the rain looks like it will be a more powerful storm, we will make the call 20 minutes before the class. In the event that we do cancel class, we will reach out to reschedule your reservation to another time or $35 of Barn Hill Preserve credit.

We are in Frankford, DE! Our address is 34215 Peppers Corner Rd. Below is a simplified map of where to find us!

If you are traveling SOUTH: on your left, you will see a large green fenced in area at the corner of Peppers Corner Rd and Beaver Dam Rd, enter here!

If you are traveling NORTH: you will see a house with a red roof on your right, pass that house, you will turn into the green fenced in area on your right!

Are yoga mats provided?

We recommend that you bring your own mat, plus a towel. If you do not have a yoga mat, we do offer rentals for $5/each!

What about social distancing?

We require that you wear a mask to check-in and until you reach the place you set up your mat. Our large outdoor area has ample space to remain 6 ft apart from other guests that are not in your party.

Are children allowed to attend?

It is not reccomended to bring children under the age of five, and all persons under 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult.
