Delaware Community Foundation to Screen Join or Die Documentary at Cinema Art Theater in Lewes

What: The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) will screen Join or Die, a documentary featuring legendary social scientist Robert Putnam, at the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes. This event is free and open to the public. The DCF will lead a discussion of the film with audience members after the screening.

Why: Join or Die follows the half-century story of America's civic unraveling through the journey of legendary social scientist Robert Putnam, whose groundbreaking "Bowling Alone" research into America's decades-long decline in community connections could hold the answers to our present political crisis. Featuring interviews with influential scholars, politicians, and long-time fans, Join or Die explores how joining clubs and organizations increases social capital and fosters a stronger democracy.
