Jack and the Beanstalk

In a cloud castle high above Pleasant Village, a grumpy ogre pesters the citizens below with loud music from his enchanted harp and showers of non-golden eggs from his magic hen. Our hero, Jack, trades the family cow for magic seeds and climbs a towering beanstalk to stop the Ogre’s antics. Tricking the bully and his wife, Jack grabs the harp, the hen and a bag of silver coins, and escapes down the beanstalk. The Ogre follows and confronts, not Jack and his ax, but Jack’s feisty Granny who provides a surprisingly happy ending for all! Two professional actors play all the characters in this fast-paced, fun-filled, forty-five minute production designed for family audiences of all ages. Venue: Bridgeville Public Library.
