“Y Tu Mamá Tambián,” a coming-of-age comedy drama that centers around two immature teens who get an education in love when they embark on a road trip with an older woman. The lives of Julio and Tenoch, like those of many 17-year old boys, are ruled by raging hormones, intense friendships, and a headlong rush into adulthood. Over the course of a summer, the two best friends, while living out a carefree cross-country escapade with a gorgeous mature woman, also find connection with each other, themselves and the world around them. This film garnered critical acclaim upon its original release winning Best Screenplay Award at the 2001 Venice Film Festival and nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 2003 Academy Awards. [2001, Mexico, 106 min, Rated: R, Spanish with English sub-titles] Venue: Cinema Art Theater. Presenter: Rehoboth Beach Film Society.
