“Nomad: In the Footsteps of Bruce Chatwin,” is a fitting and thought-provoking documentary that is a tribute to a man whose work showed his passion for the nomadic life and uncovering stories of lost tribes, wanderers and dreamers. When iconic English travel writer and storyteller Bruce Chatwin was dying of AIDS, his friend Werner Herzog made a final visit. As a parting gift, Chatwin gave him his rucksack. Thirty years later, Herzog sets out on his own journey, inspired by Chatwin's passion for the nomadic life. Herzog's deeply personal portrait, illustrated with archival discoveries, film clips, and a mound of "brontosaurus skin," encompasses their shared interest in aboriginal cultures, ancient rituals, and the mysteries stitching together life on earth. [2020, UK, 89 min, Rated: NR]. Venue: Cinema Art Theater. Presenter: Rehoboth Beach Film Society.
