AMERICA 250: MILLSBORO CELEBRATES!

On June 27, 2026, the Town of Millsboro will celebrate our great nation as we joyfully mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a momentous milestone known as the Semi quincentennial, or America250. This once-in-a-lifetime celebration invites every American, from coast to coast and right here in the heart of Sussex County, to come together in pride, gratitude, and excitement.

In the Town of Millsboro, we are proud to join communities across Delaware and the United States in honoring this historic occasion. As a welcoming hometown nestled near beautiful inland bays, rich farmlands, and the ancestral lands of the Nanticoke Indian Tribe, Millsboro embodies the diverse stories that have woven the fabric of our nation for two and a half centuries. From our early settlers and Native American heritage to the hardworking families, veterans, innovators, and neighbors who call Millsboro home today, our local history reflects the broader American journey of resilience, community, and opportunity.
