2022 Santa's Lewes House
Santa will take a break from his work at the North Pole with a special trip to Lewes on Small Business Saturday, November 26. He’ll arrive on the Cape Water Taxi at City Dock in 1812 Park at 12:30 pm. The public is invited to greet him as he disembarks from the water taxi and join some of his elves as they escort him to his house at the corner of Second and Bank Streets. He will be in residence until 3 pm that day. He’ll also return for brief appearances in his house at Merchants’ Hospitality Night on December 1 at 5-7 pm and at the conclusion of
the Lewes Christmas parade when he arrives on a Lewes Fire Department vehicle at the end of the parade.
Santa will be in his house during the following hours this holiday season: Thursday, December 8 from 5-7 pm; Saturday, December 10 from 1 – 3 pm; Thursday, December 15 from 5-7 pm; Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 from 1-3 pm; and Thursday, December 22 from 5-7 pm. The protocols for visiting Santa this year are based on current CDC guidelines and in consultation with Beebe Healthcare’s Chief of Population Health Officer, Dr. Bill Chasanov.
Masks will not be required for either Santa or his visitors but if requested, Santa will wear one. Masks will also be available for visitors. There will be a bench adjacent to Santa’s chair and photos can be taken with visitors sitting next to Santa.
There will be a mailbox next to his house and letters to Santa can be deposited there anytime. He promises that he’ll read every one of them! Our thanks to Brad Foos of Schell Brothers for fabricating Santa’s mailbox last year.
