Haul out the holly! Winter WonderFEST’s Grand Opening on November 17 marks the unofficial start of the holiday season at the Delaware Beaches. There’s no better way to ignite your holiday spirit than by joining us as we open the gates to the Light Spectacular, Christmas Village, and Visit Delaware Ice Rink!
In celebration of the Grand Opening, all are invited to participate in the region’s BRIGHTEST and most unique run/walk event - Dashing Through the Show! Featuring a competitive 5K Run/Walk at 5:00pm and 1 Mile Fun Walk at 6:00pm, Dashing participants get up close and personal with our expanded Light Spectacular! Guests will also enjoy holiday music playing throughout the Light Spectacular. The 5K Race will start at finish at the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided for Fun Walk participants from the Christmas Village into the heart of the Light Spectacular
and return them to the Christmas Village. Shuttles will operate from 6:00pm until 9:00, with the last shuttle entering Cape Henlopen State Park at 8:30pm. Race participants can feel free to jump on a shuttle after their race or enjoy walk through the Light Spectacular. Holiday music will be played throughout the Cape Henlopen Campground. Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion in holiday costumes, ugly sweaters, glow gear, and more!
The Visit Delaware Ice Rink will host public sessions during the Grand Opening at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30pm. Skating sessions will sell out, so organizers encourage participants to reserve their skating sessions in advance.
The award wining Winter WonderFEST will dazzle visitors with it’s premier attractions from November 17 through December 31, 2018! Winter WonderFEST 2018 will feature an expanded Schellville,an increased number of Light Spectacular displays, and new rides for all ages to enjoy.
