Slaughter House Farm, Laurel, Every Friday and Saturday in October. Once a year a local farm in Laurel Delaware transforms into what some call a brutally morbid nightmare the likes of which has not been seen or recorded in history. Rumor has it that TJ Scott bought the farm after a long stay at a local mental hospital. The farm is located just off route 13 in Laurel, close enough to lure passing visitors off the busy highway and onto the farm property. What happens to those visitors after coming onto the farm has never been discovered... 

 

Spooky Lighthouse Tour, Saturday, September 29, 7-8:30pm, $35.00 Adults $25.00 Children (Sunday Only) Departs from the Lewes Ferry Terminal Finger Pier.,43 Henlopen ave Lewes. Limited seating! Built in 1885 and witness over the centuries, East End Lighthouse holds many otherworldly tales. Living history characters garbed in period dress from the Lewes Historical Society will be your guides through time. Hear accounts of shipwrecks off of Lewes’s coast as told by their captains’, passengers, and survivors. 

 

The Tale the Tombstones Tell, October 11, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, From the tombstone carved in the shape of the state of Delaware to the ‘Remember Me As Thou Stands by’ marker, Delaware’s cemeteries record our history and reflect our ever-changing modern world. This presentation, accompanied by color and black and white images, presents Delaware’s history, culture, and major historical figures and events through grave markers. The talk examines tombstone architecture and interesting inscriptions and shows how permanent memorials reflect individual tastes and specific historical periods.

 

Boo-Que by the Sea, Delaware Seashore State Park, October 19 - 21Boo-Que is the only barbecue event in southern Delaware sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. Please join us for a professional barbecue competition, live music, and Halloween-themed activities for the whole family!

 

Milton Zombie Fest, October 20. Join the picturesque town of Milton DE as we try to survive a weekend of haunting entertainment of epic proportions! “Zombie Fest” plunges the quaint historic town of Milton into an epicenter of the undead. A monstrosity of entertainment awaits people of all ages as we bring in mentalists, horror movies, live music and a host of other activities for a full weekend that is sure to stir the undead out of their graves!

Mr. Moribund's Theatre of Terror, Riverfront Theatre, Milford, October 26 - 27 He will be showing Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3D! (yep! We all get those cheesy glasses, too!) He is so popular we had to give him two nights! Come in costume - we have prizes for best, most original and cutest!

 

Sea Witch Halloween Festival & Fiddlers Festival, Rehoboth Beach, October 26 - 28 Features broom tossing contests, sea witch hunt, costumed pet contest, haunted houses, fiddler's convention, hay rides, scarecrow making, costume parade and contest, Maryland rough riders horse show, kid's treasure hunt, 5K foot race, surfing and skimboarding contest, trick or treating and so much more. 

 

Children's Fantasy Trail, Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27  6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, October 28  6 – 7:30 p.m, Wear your Halloween constume and trick or treat for candy and toys with your favorite storybook characters along our trail lined with jack-o-lanterns. Entertainment under the tent each evening may include singing, juggling, magic and more.
