DESCRIPTION:Using the Zoom platform\, “Art as Protest” will consist of 
 two\,\ntwo-hour sessions on Thursdays\, July 23 and 30 from 1:00 to 3:00\n
 p.m.  In the first session\, participants will look at the anti-war\nwork
  of Francisco Goya\, Guernica by Pablo Picasso\, and the work of the\nDada
  movement protesting WWI.  The second class will consider other\nartists\
 , such as Diego River\, Judy Chicago\, Keith Haring\, Basquiat\,\nand Vik 
 Muniz\, and the causes they championed.   Artists do not live\nin a bubb
 le.  They\, like all of us\, are doing their work in response\nto the eve
 nts going on around them.  It is interesting to consider\nfamiliar artist
 s in relationship to the events of their day\, and\nperhaps find similarit
 ies to our own troubled time.  There is no\nstress\, no note taking\, no 
 tests - just come and discuss art.  The\ncost for the class is $65 per pe
 rson for members and non-members. \n\n \n\nRegistration is required for
