DESCRIPTION:September 25 through October 28 Opening Reception: Friday\, Sep
 tember\n25\, 2026 (5pm-7pm) Corkran Gallery In my paintings\, I explore\nl
 andscapes and surreal compositions to provoke thought and meditation.\nMy 
 artwork consistently exposes my obsession for late afternoon light\nand th
 e subtlety of both cool and warm ambient spaces. Addicted to\nthese nuance
 s\, I exaggerate the mood of each painting to isolate the\nessence of a mo
 ment in time. I believe the nature of these\nobservations can immediately 
 create an intimate connection so that the\nviewer is left only to absorb t
 he energy and take it with them. I am\nfascinated by the idea that the vie
 wer can be forced to acknowledge\nthis relationship with a painting. In my
  surreal works\, I attempt to\ncapture this by arranging non-relative obje
 cts to create new\nrelationships. Or demonstrate the extensive\, labored j
 ourney of an\nobject only for it to travel the shortest of distances. Drea
 ms play a\nlarge part of where my ideas originate. I always sketch an imag
 e after\nremembering a dream\, not usually for the content\, but largely f
 or what\nit felt like. Documenting this awareness in my painting allows me
  to\nshelve such moments as if I experienced them awake to take with me\,\
