DESCRIPTION:The Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater is pleas

 ormance at 2 pm on the following Friday). Doors open at the Cinema\nArt Th
 eater at 6 pm for the Thursday screenings with food\, sprits\,\ncontests (
 with prizes) and the films begin at 7 pm Experience and/or\nrelive the ico
 nic California surfer beach craze of the 1960's. Revisit\nour favorite Dis
 ney Mouseketeers\, Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon\nwith cameos from 
 soon to be famous musicians including Stevie Wonder\,\nHollywood A-Listers
  Don Rickles\, Buddy Hackett\, Buster Keaton\, Linda\nEvans and others. Th
 e Society will kick-off this SPECIAL EVENT series\nwith the teenage girl w
 ho started the Cali surfer craze with the 1959\nfilm\, Gidget on Aug 3 & 4
 ! The Series schedule is as follows: Gidget:\nAug 3 (7 pm) & Aug 4 (2 pm) 
 Due to an accident while swimming in the\nsea\, Francis meets the surfer M
 oondoggie. She's fascinated with his\nsport and starts to hang out with hi
 s clique. Although they make fun\nof her at first\, they teach her to surf
  and soon she's accepted and\ngiven the nickname \"Gidget\". But it's hard
  work to become more than a\nfriend to Moondoggie. Bikini Beach: Aug 10 (7
  pm) & Aug 11 (2 pm) A\nmillionaire sets out to prove his theory that his 
 pet chimpanzee is as\nintelligent as the teenagers who hang out on the loc
 al beach\, where he\nis intending to build a retirement home. Beach Party:
  Aug 17 (7 pm) &\nAug 18 (2 pm) Anthropology Professor Robert Orwell Sutwe
 ll and his\nsecretary Marianne are studying the sex habits of teenagers. T
 he\nsurfing teens led by Frankie and Dee Dee don't have much sex but they\
 nsing\, battle the motorcycle rats and mice led by Eric Von Zipper and\nda
 nce to Dick Dale and the Del Tones. Muscle Beach Party: Aug 24 (7\npm) & A
 ug 25 (2 pm) Local beach-goers find that their beach has been\ntaken over 
 by a businessman training a stable of body builders. Beach\nBlanket Bingo:
  Aug 31 (7 pm) & Sept 1 (2 pm) In the fourth of the\nhighly successful Fra
 nkie and Annette beach party movies\, a motorcycle\ngang led by Eric Von Z
 ipper kidnaps singing star Sugar Kane managed by\nBullets\, who hires sky-
 diving surfers Steve and Bonnie from Big Drop\nfor a publicity stunt. With
  the usual gang of kids and a mermaid named\nLorelei. Admission is $9 for 
 members\, $11.50 for general audiences and\n$5 for students (student ticke
