 ein air painting can be traced back to\nImpressionist artists such as Mon
 et\, Renoir\, and Pissaro – painting\noutdoors and capturing fleeting mo
 ments of light\, color\, atmosphere\,\nand the mood of a scene\, rather t
 han detailed\nrepresentations. Artists working in oil\, acrylic\, pastel 
 or\nwatercolor will be setting up their easels in Laurel’s parks\, alon
 g\nits streets and throughout the beautiful surrounding farms\nand natura
 l areas to capture the essence of a spring day in western\nSussex County.
  \n\nSeveral award-winning landscape artists from throughout the region\n
 have registered to participate. This fun\, informal painting event in\nt
 he morning will be followed by an opportunity for artists\,\ncollectors\,
  and other visitors to view and purchase the finished\npieces during a pu
 blic art walk and “wet paint sale”. Patrons and\ncollectors are encour
 aged to get there early to make their purchases\,\nsince sales can be bri
 sk. There is no entrance fee for anyone who\nwishes to attend the event.\n
