Each artist brings their\nown vision to memorable subjects thro ughout Lower Delaware\, such as\narchitecture\, boats\, social life and is olated serenity.\n\n \n\nAmong the participating artists is Al Barker\, who focuses on the\ntranquil and ever-changing skies of the Delaware shore lines. Doris\nIngram\, a long-time Lewes resident\, recreates scenes of local life in\nwatercolor\, from the hustle and bustle of downtown to rust ic hidden\ntreasures. Jane McElvany Coonce exhibits views from docks alo ng the\nLewes Canal\, including one shot of the picturesque Overfalls\nlig htship. Jim Rehak brings to life the seasonal changes of the\nDelmarva P eninsula through a combination of impressionistic and\nrealist landscapes.  Janet Raesly’s seascapes and dune paintings are\noften referred to as expressionistic realism\, finding beauty in simple\nlandscapes. John Eise man explores rural and coastal environments and\nsubverts them to capture the natural phenomena and mood of the\nmoment. Michelle Marshall paints beaches and marshes in a\ncontemporary way by using extraordinary color p alettes and elements of\nabstract expressionism\, keeping her work fresh a nd spontaneous. Rick\nPhillips uses his background in illustration and a dvertising to\nproduce a collection that spotlights the historic cottages and\ncharming streets of downtown Lewes. Jacalyn Beam’s plein air\nimpr essionistic paintings show the buzz of the Rehoboth boardwalk and\ndocked boats.\n\n \n\nEach artist on show has a special relationship with Lower Delaware\,\nusing their passion and lived experience to create works that reflect\nwhy this area is a little slice of paradise. “In honor of our 2 5th\nyear in business\, we are delighted to celebrate the area that has\ns upported us.
