 Foundation’s Lace Up for Ag Literacy 5K Run/Walk will bring the\ncommuni
 ty together on October 10\, 2026\, to support programs that help\nDelaware
  youth where food and fiber comes from.\n\nThe race held at Hopkins Farm C
 reamery in Lewes welcomes supporters of\nall ages. Participants will not o
 nly enjoy a scenic trail around the\nfarm but also contribute to a cause t
 hat helps strengthen the\nFoundation’s mission to build awareness\, unde
 rstanding\, and positive\npublic perception about Delaware’s farm operat
 ions and fresh local\nfood.\n\nProceeds from the event will benefit agricu
 ltural literacy initiatives\nthat connect students and consumers with agri
 culture through hands-on\nlearning experiences\, educational resources\, a
 nd classroom programs.\nBy increasing youth’s knowledge of agriculture\,
  these efforts help\nbridge the gap between producers and consumers and he
 lp inspire future\nagriculturalists.\n\n“The Lace Up for Ag Literacy Run
  started six years ago to support\nour Foundation’s efforts in educating
  kids about the importance of\nagriculture in their everyday lives\,” sa

 \, we are able to go\ninto classrooms and youth groups and bring agricultu
 re to them.”\n\nThis year’s Lace Up for Ag Literacy 5K Run/Walk will b
 e held Oct. 10\nat Hopkins Farm Creamery\, 18186 Dairy Farm Road in Lewes.
  Registration\nbegins at 8 a.m.\, with the race starting at 9 a.m.\n\nThe 
 family-friendly course through the fourth-generation dairy farm\ntakes par
 ticipants past pastures\, barns\, hay bales\, a covered bridge\,\nand a sc
 enic pond before finishing at the creamery.\n\nFollowing the race\, partic
 ipants are encouraged to stay and enjoy the\nHopkins Farm Fall Festival\, 
 featuring breakfast\, apple cider\, fall\nactivities\, and more. The Delaw
