 o\nher experience as an artist. \"Photography has been a passion since\nch
 ildhood when at 12\, I won an honorable mention in a national\nchildren’
 s magazine. I decided to study judging as a means of\nimproving my ability
  to ‘see’ more clearly to improve my\nphotographic skills. I began the
  Judging Apprentice program with the\nCoastal Camera Club about ten years 
 ago both to share this learning\nwith fellow members and to improve the Cl
 ub’s supply of member\njudges. Since then\, over thirty folks have been 
 through this program\nand become active judges in the Club’s competition
  process. This\nprogram is an ongoing learning since we all share informal
 ly judging\neach month’s competition and meet to both share our observat
 ions and\nto learn from each other. This sharing has been a wonderful lear
 ning\nprocess for myself and others. I have also been honored to ask to\nj
