SUMMARY:ELO Tribute: Atomic Light Orchestra
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:ALO: Atomic Light Orchestra pays tribute to the music of ELO an
d The\nTraveling Wilburys with faithful\, near record-like versions of all
\nyour favorite songs. Of course all the hits are here but so are the\ndee
 p album tracks that you’ll remember. You’ll feel like you’re\nback i
n your bedroom at your parent’s house on the street where you\ngrew up!
Guaranteed to have you dancing and singing along\, all night\nlong. Reprod
ucing the sound of ELO is a tough task. Just ask any\nmusician. This band
has the goods. Dennis Schocket’s (guitars and\nlead vocals) voice is dir
ectly influenced by Jeff Lynne. “I think\nJeff is quite possibly the gre
atest\, most under rated pop vocalist\never.” Gregg Simmons (lead guitar
and lead vocals) is known for his\ngreat fret work but it’s his incredi
ble falsetto that gets him\nnoticed here. Gregg says “You can’t make E
LO music without the\nhigh notes!” He’s right of course. Veteran keybo
ardist\, John Kelly\n(keys\, guitar and lead vocals) takes on the multiple
rolls of keys and\nstrings with effortless grace and joy. John says “Th
is music is just\nso beautifully crafted.” Violinist Greta Thomas is the
newest member\nof the band. She brings her classically trained excellence
to every\nsong. Multi-instrumentalist Bronson Wagner (bass\, keys and lea
d\nvocals) has the difficult task of reproducing that epic ELO bass\nrumbl
e\, but does so with style and flair. Anchoring all this is\ndrummer Phil
Brotman\, doing his best Bev Bevan impersonation. “I\nlove this music. I
t’s just full of joy and love.” Venue: Milton\nTheatre.
