DESCRIPTION:“I grew up less than 100 yards from the Brighton Beach/Coney 
 Island\nBoardwalk. I roamed that 2.5mile beach all year long\, regardless 
 of\nsun or snow. The first painting I ever sold was a Plein Air piece\npai
 nted while standing on the sand. The body of work in this\nexhibition brin
 gs together decades of painting and teaching\, and\nbrings it right back t
 o my first inspiration. It shows what the beach\nhas created within me. Mo
 st of the work in this exhibition is of the\nSussex County coastline. Whil
 e my work does sometimes include\nfigurative components—the interaction 
 between the rocks\, sand\, ocean\nand sky—is my primary focus.” Venue:
