  year’s annual Lewes Christmas parade\, presented by the City of\nLewes 
 and the Lewes Chamber of Commerce\, takes place on December 4 at\n5 p.m. 
 The parade’s theme is “Celebrating an Old-Fashioned\nChristmas in Lewe
 s.”  This year\, in lieu of naming a Grand Marshal\,\nthe parade is hon
 oring all pandemic frontline workers.  \n\nPrizes are awarded in a numbe
 r of categories including Best Original\nEntry\, Marching Group\, Band\, C
 lown\, Equestrian\, Decorated Classic Car\n(vintage 1967 or older)\, Decor
 ated Vehicle (after 1967 or more\nrecent)\, Fire Company\, Commercial Floa
 t\, Community Organization Float\nand Youth Organization Float. ALL entrie
 s need to be decorated.\nEntrants will be notified in a mailing after Nove
 mber 26 with their\nentry number and their parade lineup time.  The parad
 e lineup takes\nplace from 3:30-4:15 p.m. and the parade begins at 5 p.m.
   \n\nPrior to the parade’s kick off\, local entertainer JGar will per
 form\nlive holiday music from the Announcers’ and Judges’ reviewing\ns
 tand set up in front of the flag pole in Zwaanendael Park.  After\nthe pa
 rade\, the tradition has been to officially illuminate the\nChristmas tree
  in Zwaanendael Park followed by candlelight caroling in\nthe park\, led b
 y Christy Taylor. The tree lighting ceremony will\ncommence shortly after 
 the last parade entry passes by the judges’\nreviewing stand in Zwaanend
 ael Park.\n
