 ge on New Year’s Day.\n\nSpecial Olympics Delaware approached the Lewes 
 Polar Bears Club in\n1991 with the proposition of designating one of their
  plunges to\nbenefit Special Olympics. The Club agreed to February\, and t
 he 1992\nFebruary Plunge was dedicated to Special Olympics Delaware. It wa
 s the\nbeginning of what has become one of the most significant and\nsucce
 ssful fundraisers in the state of Delaware.\n
