DESCRIPTION:The Peninsula Gallery is once again hosting its annual show\, 
 “Small\nJewels.” Clients can shop for the holiday season and fall in l
 ove\nwith artworks that all cost $500 or less. Unlike other exhibitions\,\
 nclients can take away the piece they buy\, ensuring the work can be\ngift
 ed anytime throughout December.   Small Jewels has been a staple\nin Pen
 insula Gallery’s exhibition schedule for 19 years. This year\,\nthe arti
 sts featured in Small Jewels have been juried by Peninsula’s\ncuratorial
  team\, resulting in a coherent collection of over 80\noriginal works from
  17 unique artists.  The lineup includes local and\nregional participants
  and a mixture of resident and guest artists. The\nshow features five piec
 es each from Al Barker\, Kristin Blanck\, Anne\nBuck\, Sara Cameli\, Rosem
 ary Connelly\, Barbara Efchak\, Carol Fastuca\,\nYvonne Frankis\, Virgil H
 olmes\, Doris Ingram\, Laura McGowan\, Joe\nMilligan\, Damon Pla\, Steve R
 ogers\, John Schisler\, Nick Serratore\, and\nNancy Richards West. This ye
 ar’s exhibition is highly diverse\, with\nworks done in oil\, acrylic\, 
 pastel\, and watercolor\, as well as\nuncommon techniques like alcohol ink
  wash and hand-cast resin\nsculpture. The works encompass a wide variety o
 f subject matters from\nanimals and landscapes to still lives and contempo
 rary abstracts. Tony\nBoyd-Heron\, gallery co-owner\, says\, “Each year\
 , it’s very exciting\nto get the show up on the walls. It’s always sor
 t of a shock walking\ninto a room lined with so many paintings.” “Smal
