December 3,2011
Begins: 10:00 AM
Ends: 4:00 PM
Visitors of all ages will find something festive to enjoy when they visit TS Smith and Sons historic farm market on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10-4. Beginning at 10 AM, the talented Phyllis Wheatley Middle School Choir will provide holiday music as visitors enjoy a variety of offerings inside and outside the farm market. This popular group will keep singing until Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive just after 12:30. Weather permitting, holiday hay rides will also be available. Visitors are encouraged to bring a camera to have their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Be prepared to tell Santa what you want this year!
Throughout the day there will be samples to enjoy and recipes to take home and use for holiday meal planning. Holiday gift ideas will be offered, including the ever-popular and customizable fruit baskets made with fresh, local TS Smith and Sons produce. The bins will be stacked full of seasonal produce for visitors to take home for holiday baking and cooking. TS Smith & Sons grows many varieties of apples as well as kale, cauliflower, broccoli, and cabbage. The apple cider is fresh pressed and nearly as popular as the apple cider doughnuts, apple dumplings, gingersnaps, and fresh apple cakes. Local produce such as sweet potatoes, turnips, and other items are available in addition to other farm favorites at reasonable prices.
